Course Description

The study of innovation driven skills and knowledge. It is a basic innovation course that is designed for the undergraduate-level students.

The course contains a set of necessary concepts that are essential to junior entrepreneur.

Includes an introduction to innovation for entrepreneur, seeking for opportunities in business, finding resources to start up a new business, and assessing business start-up ideas.

Course Objectives

Students are able to

  1. explain meaning and importance of innovation
  2. analyse opportunities to start up business from innovation
  3. analyse resources to start up business
  4. apply concepts of innovation-led business start up

Course Goals

  • To explore importance and concepts of innovation
  • To find opportunities of startup business from innovation
  • To apply the concepts to the idea of the startup

Course Rules

  1. Any kind of cheating is prohibited and allows no tolerance. Noted that duplicated copy & paste from the web or AT (e.g. chatGPT) is considered as “cheating”.
  2. Common sense applies in any situation. However, if any suspicion still persists, do ask earlier.
  3. Submission after deadline will result in a mark deduction. It is suggested to submit earlier, as soon as you can. Any excuse must be backed up with official document.
  4. Students must keep an evidence by taking photos or screen capture of submission and keep them until the final exam.
  5. Withdrawal of the course could be made officially before the deadline (normally week 9 to 11)
  6. Lecturer reserves the right to make a decision whenever any ambiguity arise.
